Aigle Azur

Aigle Azur is a French airline based in Tremblay-en-France and is the country’s second largest airline. Established in 1946, Aigle Azur flies to 26 destinations in Europe and Africa and has a fleet of 10 Airbus aircraft. The main operating hub of the carrier is at Paris Orly Airport and it has a codeshare agreement with Hainan Airlines. As well as providing schedules passenger flights, Aigle Azur also provides charter, wet lease and cargo services.

How to Check in

Those flying with Aigle Azur are able to check-in online or by mobile as well as the traditional way at the airport. Checking in online is available from 48 hours up to 3 hours before departure times and passengers can print off a boarding pass or receive one to a mobile device to save time at the airport. During the online check-in process you are also able to select a preferred seat. Alternatively, check-in at an Aigle Azur desk or use the self-service kiosks at Paris Orly Airport. The airline advises travelers to arrive at the airport at least 3 hours before flights and check-ins close 1 hour before flights leave.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Aigle Azur flights allow all travelers to check-in baggage as part of the fare, although how much you can bring depends on your flight class and destination. Be sure to check with the airline about specific allowances on your flight. Those in Economy are allowed anywhere from 30-40kg, while in Business Class this is increased to 40-50kg depending on your destination. As well as checked baggage, passengers are allowed one item of hand baggage no larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm or heavier than 10kg, increased to 15kg in Business Class. Any baggage that is oversize or overweight will be subject to excess fees - check with the airline for up-to-date rates.


Aigle Azur offer regular Economy Class seating in addition to luxurious Business Class seats for those looking to enjoy a superior traveling experience. During the online check-in process you are automatically allocated a seat but have the option to select a preferred seat at no extra cost. The airline also offers the option to purchase an additional seat at a reduced price for those who want more space during their journey and will refund the price paid if there are still seats left on the flight.

Booking Fees

There are small administrative charges added to your fare depending on the method of purchase. A surcharge of 12AED* is added to online bookings, while anywhere from 60AED to 140AED* is added to your ticket price for those booking by telephone or in person at a ticket office.
