Air Dolomiti

Air Dolomiti is an Italian airline and a subsidiary of Lufthansa, one of Europe’s largest airlines. Air Dolomiti’s main operating hub is at Munich Airport, although most of its flights are to domestic destinations around Italy. As well as flying to 6 destinations of its own, the airline also operates on behalf of Lufthansa Regional and flies to a further 10 destinations. First established in 1991, the airline was the subject of a complete takeover by Lufthansa in 2003 and has its headquarters in the province of Verona, Italy. As a subsidiary of Lufthansa, Air Dolomiti is a part of the Miles & More frequent flyer program.

How to Check in

Passengers with Air Dolomiti are able to check in to flights over the web from the convenience of your own home or check in at the airport at either a self-service kiosk or check in counter. Those wishing to check in online can do so from 23 hours before flights and are able to select a preferred seat free of charge. You can also print off a boarding pass or receive an electronic boarding pass to your device. At the airport you can use a self-service check in kiosk or go to a counter - counters open 2 hours before flights and close between 30-45 minutes depending on the airport.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Air Dolomiti passengers are entitled to bring baggage as part of the ticket, although your allowance will depend on the type of fare you have purchased. Those with a Plus fare are allowed to bring one bag up to 23kg, while Emotion (Business Class) fare holders are allowed one bag up to 32kg. However, a Light fare allows only one item of cabin baggage up to 7kg, while other fares also allow you to bring a cabin bag up to 10kg and no larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm. Members of the Miles & More frequent flyer program may also be entitled to additional baggage allowances.

Seating

Air Dolomiti flights have standard Economy seating in addition to a Business Class for those who like to travel in luxury. Before flying it is possible to reserve a preferred seat for a small fee if selected before checking in, although in Business Class this privilege is offered free of charge. While a Standard seat will cost 40AED*, a seat in the Preferred zone is priced at 60AED* and a seat with extra legroom is available for 100AED*. However, you can choose to wait until checking in online and selecting your preferred seat will not come at any price.
