Why Fly with Meridiana

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Meridiana are able to check-in either online from the convenience of your home or hotel, or you can do things the traditional way by checking in at the airport. Those looking to check-in over the web are able to do so from 7 days up to 2 hours before scheduled departure times and are also able to select some seats free of charge from 30 hours before flights, although before this seat selection adds a small surcharge. Alternatively, checking in at the airport is a simple process and counters open 2hours and 30 minutes before international flights and 2 hours before domestic flights. Check-in counters open even earlier on intercontinental and transatlantic flights.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Meridiana permit passengers to bring checked baggage as part of the fare, although allowances vary considerably according to your destination. Be sure to check with the airline for information about allowances on your flight. In addition to checked baggage, travelers are also allowed to bring one item of hand baggage no heavier than 8kg or larger than 55cm x 40cm x 20cm as well as a personal item such as a laptop or handbag. Those with baggage exceeding their allowance will need to pay an excess baggage charge which can be paid for in advance online if necessary.

Seating

Before boarding your flight you are able to select a preferred seat online so that you can sit with friends or grab a window seat. Depending on your flight class and the time you select the seat, this privilege will either be free of charge or incur a small fee. Standard Economy seats are free of charge from 30 hours before flights, although they can cost from 15AED to 50AED* if booked before this time period. Comfortable Economy seats with additional legroom are available on long-haul flights for a price of 350AED to 400AED*.
