Air Namibia

Air Namibia is an airline headquartered in Windhoek, the capital of Namibia. First founded all the way back in 1946, the airline is the national carrier of the country and is owned by the government of Namibia. Out of its primary operating base at Windhoek Hosea Kutako International Airport, Air Namibia flies to 15 destinations in Africa and Europe with a fleet of 10 aircraft and also has codeshare agreements with leading airlines including Turkish Airlines. As well as being a member of the African Airlines Association, Air Namibia has its own frequent flyer program, Reward$, open to loyal passengers.

How to Check in

Passengers catching flights with Air Namibia have a number of options available to check in to suit your needs including checking in online, at a self-service kiosk or at the airport. Checking in online can be done from the convenience of your computer, or you can check in at a kiosk at select airports in Cape Town, Frankfurt and Johannesburg to save time at the airport. Alternatively, you can do things the old fashioned way by checking in at the airport at an Air Namibia check in counter.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Travelers with Air Namibia are entitled to bring baggage to check in as part of the fare, although how much you can bring will depend on your flight class and destination. Be sure to check directly with the airline for accurate information about your fare. Passengers flying in Economy are allowed to bring two bags up to 23kg except on flights to Europe which reduces the allowance to one bag. Travelers in Business Class are afforded even more baggage with a limit of two bags up to 32kg each. As well as checked baggage, passengers can bring hand baggage on board flights. In Economy you are allowed one item up to 8kg, while in Business Class this has increased to two items up to 8kg each.
