Air Tahiti Nui is a French airline with its headquarters situated in Tahiti. First established in 1996, Air Tahiti Nui is primarily owned by the government of French Polynesia and has its main operating hub at Faa’a International Airport. The airline currently flies to 5 destinations across the globe including Paris, Los Angeles and Tokyo with a fleet of 5 aircraft, while it also holds codeshare agreements with many top airlines such as Air France and Qantas. Air Tahiti Nui is in the process of modernizing their fleet over the next few years by replacing their current Airbus models with Boeing 787 Dreamliner’s.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Air Tahiti Nui are able to check in the traditional way at the airport as the airline does not currently support checking in online. In order to check in at the airport you will need to go to an Air Tahiti Nui counter at 3 hours before departure, with counters closing 1 hour before flights leave. If you have any specific seating requirements you can contact the airline at least 72 hours before scheduled flights. Remember to bring all of the necessary documentation you will need to check in including your passport and booking reference.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Air Tahiti Nui allows passengers to bring baggage to check in as part of the fare, although how much you can bring will depend on your cabin class. Those flying in Economy Class are allowed one item up to 23kg, while Business Class travelers can bring two items up to 32kg each. Members of the airline’s Club Tiare frequent flyer program are entitled to bring an additional item of baggage free of charge. The airline also allows all passengers to bring one item of hand baggage on board flights no heavier than 10kg. Excess baggage charges are calculated according to your destination and can be found on the airline’s website.
