Airblue is a low-cost airline headquarted in Islamabad in Pakistan and with its main operating hub situated at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. The airline flies to a variety of destinations around Asia and the Middle East including Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah in the UAE as well as many domestic destinations within Pakistan. Airblue was the first Pakistani airline to offer online ticketing and check in as well as self-service kiosks. Loyal passengers with Airblue are able to become a part of the airline's frequent flyer program, Blue Miles.

How to Check In
Those catching a domestic flight with Blueair are able to check-in 2 hours 30 minutes before departure, while those flying internationally are able to check-in 4 hours before scheduled departure times. Passengers must check-in at least 2 hours before flight departure. Be advised that check-in counter close 30 minutes before domestic flights and 1 hour before international flights. Online check-in is available and you can print your own boarding pass at home. Alternatively, use one of the self service kiosks at the airport.
Baggage Allowance and Fees
Every passenger is entitled to one piece of carry-on luggage bag which must not be larger than 22in x 15in x 8in or weigh more than 7 kg. Checked baggage allowance depends on the class of flight but each bag must not weigh more than 30 kg. Economy Premium customers can have 2 checked bags and Economy Standard are allowed 1 checked bag up to 30kg each. Economy Discount customers have no free allowance but can pay a fee to check in a bag. Excess baggage is charged at a rate of 70AED* per bag on domestic flights and 210AED* on flights to and from the UAE.
Seating can be pre-selected and book at the time of flight booking for a small fee. Alternatively, avoid the charges and allow the airline to choose a seat for you if you don’t have any preferences for a window or aisle.
There are no ‘hidden’ fees with Airblue but as a low cost airline you have to pay for the services you require including pre-selected seats, food and drink on board. You can choose to opt out of these and not incur any charges. There are also fees charged for changing your ticket or requesting a refund.
