Czech Airlines

Czech Airlines, also known as CSA, is the national airline of the Czech Republic with its primary hub at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague. Flying to over 40 destinations across Europe, Asia and the Middle East including Dubai International Airport, Czech Airlines also have codeshare agreements with many leading airlines including Etihad Airways. The airline is the fifth oldest in the world still in operation having been founded in 1923 and is a part of the SkyTeam airline alliance. With a fleet of 17 aircraft, Czech Airlines also has its own OK Plus frequent flyer program which is redeemable on flights with other SkyTeam airlines.

How to Check in

Passengers on Czech Airlines flights have the option to check-in online from the convenience of your own home or do things the old fashioned way by checking in at the airport. Those choosing to check-in online can do so from 36 hours up to 1 hour before flight departure times, although be advised that a small number of airports do not yet support online check-ins. Passengers also have the option to check-in by mobile, while those checking in at the airport should be advised that counters close 40 minutes before flights.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Czech Airlines allowed passengers to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare except those on a Lite fare. Flex and Plus fare holders are permitted to bring one pieces up to 23kg, while those with a Business or Business Lite ticket can check-in two pieces up to 32kg. Those flying on a Lite fare will need to purchase baggage to check-in. It is cheaper to purchase baggage during the booking process, with one bag up to 23kg priced at 100AED compared to 135AED during check-in or 175AED* at the gate. The same rates apply to other passengers looking to purchase additional bags of up to 23kg each. All passengers are permitted to bring hand baggage on board free of charge. Those with a Flex, Plus or Lite fare can bring one item up to 8kg, while Business and Business Lite passengers are allowed two items up to 8kg each.

Seating

Czech Airlines flights offer a standard Economy Class in addition to a premium Business Class. All passengers are afforded equal legroom with a seat pitch of 30-31 inches. Travelers have the option to purchase preferred seats in Economy with prices starting at 24AED*, while in Business Class this is included as part of the fare.

On Board Service

Both hot and cold meals are available on board Czech Airlines flights, with a wide selection of choices available from either the Business or Gourmet Menu. Meals from both menus start at 30AED* - however, cold food is available only on flights shorter than 3 hours, while hot food can be enjoyed on flights longer than 3 hours. Food must be pre-ordered and purchased online at least 24 hours before scheduled flight departure times.
