Jubba Airways

Jubba Airways is a Somali airline headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya. The airline has two main operating hubs at Aden Adde International Airport in Mogadishu and Hargeisa Airport in addition to a secondary hub at Djibouti-Ambouli International Airport. Jubba Airways offers domestic flights within Somalia in addition to flights to the Middle East including Dubai International Airport. Founded in 1998, Jubba Airways entered into a conglomeration with Daallo Airlines to form the African Airways Alliance.

How to Check in

Passengers flying with Jubba Airways are able to check-in the conventional way at the airport by visiting a Jubba Airways check-in counter. The airline advises travelers to arrive early at the airport and recommends checking in at least 3 hours before international flights. Jubba Airways does not yet support online check-ins but may choose to introduce this service in the future.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Jubba Airways allow passengers to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare, although you can purchase excess baggage if required. The limit for checked baggage for all passengers is 30kg, and any baggage exceeding this will be subject to additional fees. Excess fees paid for baggage that is overweight will depend on how heavy your baggage is and where you are flying to.


Jubba Airways flights offer a standard Economy Class alongside a premium Business Class for those looking for a superior traveling experience. While all passengers are served complimentary meals, those in Business Class can look forward to a specialized menu and additional legroom. Passengers are able to pre-book seat by getting in contact with the airline’s reservations team.
