Polynesian

Polynesian, commonly known as Polynesian Airlines, is a Samoan airline offering flights to seven domestic destinations within Samoa. The main operating hub of the airline is at Fagali’I Airport just outside of Apia, the capital of Samoa, and also has a secondary hub at Faleolo International Airport. Owned by the Government of Samoa, Polynesian has a fleet of three aircraft and previously operated numerous international routes since its establishment in 1959.

How to Check in

Those traveling on Polynesian flights will need to visit an airport counter in order to check-in as the airline does not yet support online check-ins. The airline advises all passengers to check-in at the airport at least 2 hours before flights are scheduled to leave just to stay on the safe side. Be advised that check-in counter close 30 minutes before take-off.

Baggage Allowances and Fees

Polynesian allow passengers to bring baggage to check-in as part of the fare in addition to hand baggage to take on board. Those wishing to bring checked baggage are allowed two bags up to 20kg in total, while children passengers between the ages of 2 and 11 are allowed two bags up to 10kg. All travelers are also allowed one item of hand baggage to take on board no heavier than 5kg. Any passengers with baggage exceeding your allowance will be charged per kilo - rates vary according to your route.

Booking Information

Travelers looking to book flights with Polynesian are able to purchase tickets in cash with Samoan Tala if buying tickets within Samoa or with USD in American Samoa. The airline also accepts payment by Visa and MasterCard credit cards.
