Kolkata Airport, known in full as Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, is the primary airport serving the city of Kolkata. The airport is situated 17km from the center of the city and is a hub for many airlines in the region including Air India, SpiceJet and Jet Airways. The airport is India’s fifth busiest carrying close to 16 million passengers each year and offers flights to many destinations, including Abu Dhabi and Dubai.

Kolkata Airport recently opened up a new integrated terminal complex to replace its old International and Domestic terminals. While the old terminals are not currently in use, they may reopen again to handle regional flights or Hajj flights in the future. You can visit the taxi counter at the airport and arrange for a pre-paid taxi to ensure a fair price. Alternatively, there are also car rental companies operating at the airport for those wishing to use their own vehicle.
