Islamabad Airport, known also as Benazir Bhutto International Airport, is Pakistan’s third largest airport situated just outside of Islamabad, the capital of the country. As well as serving the capital, the airport is also the main entry point to the city of Rawalpindi. Islamabad Airport is a hub for both Pakistan International Airlines and Shaheen Air International and serves over 4,700,000 passengers every year.

Passengers looking to get from Islamabad Airport into the center of the city can do so by taxi, although there are also public buses available. If you are unfamiliar with the city, hopping in a taxi may be the best option so you can get to your destination directly. Taxis are readily available outside of the terminal building, with the journey into the center of Islamabad only taking around 30 minutes.

Alternatively, travelers with access to your own vehicle will find ample parking available at the airport. Those looking to park their car for a long time can go to the long term car parking facility, or if you are just staying briefly you can park up at the short term area.
