Arriving In Ibiza
Ibiza Airport is situated around 7 km from Ibiza Town and offers plenty of amenities to keep travelers happy. When you have arrived at the airport you can flag down a taxi to get to your destination, although you will also find car rental companies in Ibiza if you want your own vehicle to explore the island. Inside the airport there are a range of cafés and eateries as well as duty-free shopping so you can find everything you would need. You can also connect to free Wi-Fi during your time at the airport.
Ibiza Airport primarily handles seasonal flights to and from European destinations and unfortunately does not handle any direct flights from the UAE as of yet, so if you are flying from the UAE you will need to make a stopover. Ibiza Travel Information
The hot and sunny weather in Ibiza isn’t quite as hot as it is in the UAE with summer highs of around 30 degrees to be expected. As Spain is a part of the Schengen Area you will not need to arrange a visa if you are a UAE national. Although the island is served by a network of buses and is also home to plenty of taxis, you will be able to find car rental agencies at Ibiza airport if you would rather drive around yourself. As you would expect, the high season in Ibiza is over the summer, so if you want to avoid the crowds yet still enjoy the warmest weather then visiting just before June or after August may be best.
