Bagdogra Airport is located around 45 km away from Jalpaiguri and 65 km from Darjeeling. The airport itself is relatively small and primarily handles domestic flights. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Bagdogra you won’t be able to find any direct flights available. However, the airport has plenty of connections across India which makes it easy for UAE-based travelers to fly with only a single stopover.

Bagdogra Airport is set within a single passenger terminal and offers only a limited range of facilities and services, so don’t expect too much in terms of options. There are a couple of snack bars and cafés where you can enjoy a drink or something to eat, but other than this there is very little available at the airport. Once your flight has arrived at the airport, there are metered taxis available just outside of the terminal and you can also arrange for a prepaid taxi from inside the terminal. You may also want to speak with your hotel as many in the area will be able to arrange a private transfer for you.
