Kilimanjaro International Airport is a fairly small airport but still offers a decent range of amenities and facilities to meet the needs of passengers. You can find a selection of gift and souvenir shops around the terminal as well as duty free shopping, while there are also a couple of restaurants and cafes for hungry travelers. You can also benefit from free Wi-Fi during your stay so you can get online and surf the web. When you have arrived at the airport you will be able to arrange a private transfer to reach your destination, although to stay on the safe side it is advisable to pre-book a transfer before catching your flight.

Kilimanjaro is located in the north of Tanzania and sees warm weather for most of the year, with the hottest time of year falling between October to March. Rainfall is at its heaviest from March until May so this may be the time to avoid visiting, while the climate is cooler and drier from June to September.
