Reasons To Visit Kaohsiung
Kaohsiung is the third largest city in Taiwan with a very interesting and eventful history which is reflected in its wealth of heritage sites and historic landmarks. Head into the Cijin District where you can find some of the city’s most memorable attractions such as the TianHou Temple and the ChiHou Lighthouse. There are many more things to do and see around the city whether it’s a visit to the vast Dream Mall or spending a day in the charming Central Park. Arriving In Kaohsiung
Kaohsiung International Airport is the second busiest airport in Taiwan located less than 10 km away from Kaohsiung City. If you are looking to book flights from the UAE to Kaohsiung it is not possible to make the journey directly, but the airport does have plenty of connections which makes it possible to fly with only a single transfer.
Inside the airport you will find a varied range of amenities and facilities including plenty of places to eat and drink as well as duty-free shopping. When you have landed at the airport there are plenty of ways to get into the city including by high-speed train or on the MRT Red Line, so you don’t have to shell out on a taxi if you don’t want to. As a UAE national traveling to Taiwan, you will be able to apply online for an e-visa before your journey which is valid for up to 30 days. The coolest time of year in Kaohsiung is from December until March, while there is a rainy season beginning in May and continuing through until September. Be advised that Taiwan is four hours ahead of the UAE so you will need to put your clocks forward when you arrive, while the currency in the country is the New Taiwan dollar.
