Arriving In Saipan
Saipan International Airport is located around 15 km from central Saipan and offers a range of domestic and regional flights. Although travelers based in the UAE will not be able to catch any direct flights to Saipan, the airport has decent regional connections so you can easily make the journey with only one transfer.
At Saipan International Airport you will find everything essential in terms of amenities, but there are very few options available so don’t expect many choices. There are a few different cafés and eateries located around the airport, while you can also do some duty-free shopping during your stay. Once you have arrived at the airport you can catch a taxi to reach your destination, although there are also plenty of car rental agencies operating on site for those who would rather drive themselves.

As a UAE national traveling to the Northern Mariana Islands, you will need a valid visa so give yourself plenty of time to complete an application before your journey to stay on the safe side. In Saipan temperatures stay fairly consistent across the year with average highs of 26 to 29 degrees, with the hottest period falling between May to October. Although it rains quite often in the region all year round, there is a rainy season which begins in July through to October. To get on local time you will need to put your clocks forward by six hours if you are coming from the UAE, while the currency used in the Northern Mariana Islands is the US dollar.
