Srinagar Airport, also known as Sheikh ul-Alam International Airport, is situated 12 km from Srinagar and primarily handles domestic flights from around India. Those looking to travel from the UAE to Srinagar will need to make a transfer somewhere in India as there are no direct flights available. Srinagar Airport is housed within a single passenger terminal and offers a small range of amenities, so you will find all of the essentials you would expect. There are a couple of restaurants and cafés in the airport for hungry travelers, while you will also find a few souvenir stores available. When you have arrived at the airport there are public buses available if you want to save on money and avoid paying for a private taxi.
