Where to Stay in Batumi

As one of the most beautiful towns on the shores of the Black Sea, the resort of Batumi has a growing selection of accommodation options.

The summer playground for thousands of Georgians, Batumi is also a popular stop off point for the many cruise ships that call at the town’s busy port. With a balmy subtropical climate, waterfront promenade and wide beachfront, it is easy to see why it has become the destination of choice for residents of both Georgia and its neighbouring countries.

As well as its naturally stunning seafront, the city is also home to the Batumi Botanical Gardens, which showcases flora from around the world and offers superb views of the shore. The city itself is also blooming as Eco-Tourism continues to grow in the area – the smell of fresh roses and citrus fill the air, while the Batumi Raptor Count program works to ensure the conservation of the country’s large variety of birdlife.

Getting around Georgia’s second largest city is straightforward with taxis and buses readily available. If you prefer to drive yourself, renting a car is an option and allows you the opportunity to soak up the scenery and coastline at your leisure.

Who knew that the Republic of Georgia would have a lively coastal city? On the shore of the Black Sea, this city serves as an important port and regional capital for the western-most part of the country. There's great nightlife here and in the summer it makes for a perfect beach holiday in the sun - in the shadow of sky-high mountains no less.

This a small city on the Black Sea with a lot of character. The seaside promenade is full of things to do and restaurants. We are here off season but it is still nice to walk around.
