From all the weekend excursions that I did with my study abroad group I would have to say one of my most enjoyable and scenic was Sorrento. We stayed in a hostel and it even had it's own private beach in the front with stunning rock formations. Tons of amazing local food and oh those dangerous Limoncello shots are a must try.

Sorrento is a classic Mediterranean town along the Amalfi Coast, filled with lemon and orange groves, olive trees, an abundance of sunshine, and warm, azure waters. It's the perfect place to unwind and stay awhile, relaxing on the beaches, drinking grappa and limoncello, or visiting nearby Pompeii or Capri.

Such a beautiful cliff side town with absolutely amazing locals who are so friendly! We got to sample a lot of Limoncello which the region is famous for and also got to experience the delicious food of the area!
