Where to stay in Lahore

The capital of Punjab province and the second most populous city in the country, Lahore is considered by many to be Pakistan’s cultural capital with a history dating back well over one thousand years.

The city’s history revolves around the Walled City and its many attractions like the awe-inspiring UNESCO World Heritage sites at Lahore Fort and Shalimar Garden as well as the Badshahi and Wazir Khan mosques. Visitors will also enjoy the dramatic buildings designed in a gothic style that date back to the days of the British Raj. No matter where you wander in the Walled City, Lahore is always there to tell you a colorful life story thanks to the heritage shadow formed by around 2,000 historic buildings.

Transport around the city is being developed but while the Lahore Metro is under construction, visitors to Lahore can make use of the bus rapid transit system which uses articulated vehicles as well as standard buses and taxis. A small number of car rental options are also available.
