Brasov is one of the most important places in Transylvania. The location is central to nearby tourist attractions including Transylvanian towns, Bucharest, Black Sea, and Moldova. The town square hosts a Christmas Market in December.

Brasov is a town of German origin located in Transylvania. Surrounded by a crook of the Carpathian Mountains, this elegant little town has friendly people, authentic Romanian restaurants and chalet-like hotels. I was here at Christmas time and it was cold! However, the town's mountain setting and Christmas decor were made for a very enjoyable stay.

A restored medieval town that is a great place to experience the Romanian countryside and authentic restaurants.

Great place to visit - beware of pickpockets and people who steal ruck sacks and other scams. Nice historic town and I'd highly suggest a visit. We loved it. But always be aware here.
