Where to stay in Krabi

Fast becoming one of the most popular tourist destinations in Thailand thanks to its golden beaches, lush tropical greenery and nearby attractions like the legendary Phi Phi Islands, the province of Krabi has everything you need when it comes to hotel accommodation, from basic beach bungalows to high-end, luxury all-villa resorts.

While Krabi Town itself has a variety of basic accommodation, most visitors prefer to use the town as a transit point and opt for accommodation near stunning beachfronts such as Railay Beach and Caves, Koh Hong and Ao Nang or within a short ferry ride of the picturesque group of islands known as Phi Phi.

Visitors to Krabi will arrive by ferry or by air and can then get around the area by a variety of methods. Local and government buses are readily available and cheap, while tuk tuks, motorcycle taxis and songthaews will take visitors around town and further afield. Alternatively, car rental is an option or you may prefer to hire a car or van with a driver from one of the many travel agencies and tour operators.
