Nice small resort type town on the Turkish Aegean region. Dominated by Cesme Castle it is an easy walkable city where most if the shops and restaurants are. Like most towns in Turkey you need to get code for the internet from a cafe.
Çeşme is a popular sun-and-beach resort town, especially for visitors from Izmir, Scandinavia and the United Kingdom. There are good beaches south of Çeşme, and at nearby Ilica, easily reachable by local Dolmuş. The main square has restaurants, cafes, tea houses, and nice sunset views of the Aegean Sea. Çeşme's small fortress, now restored as the local museum, looms over the square and provides a nice slice of history and architectural character.
Lively nightlife and lots of places to see nearby.
Perfect summer getaway!
