Where to stay in Bristol
The English city of Bristol is located in the south-west of the country and straddles the River Avon, which dominates the heart of the city.
A picturesque city with a maritime history and acres of greenery and parkland, the city hosts year-round festivals, stunning street art, plenty of shopping options and a landscape that lends itself to both cycling and walking.
Those who have a love of art and mystery will enjoy the popular Banksy Walking Tour, a self-guided adventure that investigates the most famous and acclaimed works of the mysterious street artist, while if shopping is more your game then a trip to the city’s busy Cabot Circus will provide a memorable shopping experience with over 120 stores and designer brands to choose from.
The Tourist Information Center on the Harborside is worth a visit to buy tickets for local buses, sightseeing tours and water ferries, while details of the many routes are also available. Train travel from Bristol to the rest of England is also straightforward with many major operators running services from the city. Renting a car in Bristol is also an option.

Surprisingly exceeded my expectations as I sailed in here for the Harbour Festival. It is such a lively place with so many things going on with things to do and the art and general landscaping is just brilliant! A great city.
Home of my mother, as it goes, but also a good night out, in and around the Clifton area at least. Very nice Lebanese restaurant there.
This was a day trip from London and a nice city to visit. We had lunch here and enjoyed walking around the city.
