Airport Information - Arriving

Dubai International Airport is one of the globe’s leading airports known for its huge range of facilities and amenities. At the airport you will find everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable stay including a wide selection of shops and duty free stores. Additionally, there are also many different places to eat and drink with everything from cheap eats to high end restaurants available. The airport itself consists of three passenger terminals which you can easily transfer between either by free shuttle bus or on the Dubai Metro. Once you have landed at Dubai International Airport, the quickest way to reach central Dubai is on the Dubai Metro from Terminal 1 or Terminal 3, although you can just as easily hop in a taxi outside any terminal.

Airport Information - Departing

Cape Town International Airport is the main airport serving Cape Town located around 20km outside of the city center. The airport is a single-terminal building with departures handled on the upper floors and arrivals on the lower levels. International operations are housed in the north of the airport, while those catching domestic flights will be based in the south of the airport. At Cape Town International Airport you will find everything you would expect of a modern airport including a range of shops including duty free shopping. If you want to grab a bite to eat before flying out then many of the restaurants, cafes and eateries at the airport are located on the Upper 3rd Level. The airport is linked to central Cape Town by MyCiti public buses if you want to use public transport to reach the airport.

What to Expect in Dubai

In Dubai the weather stays hot all year round, although if you want to avoid the brunt of the heat then you would want to visit between November and February when things cool down. While many nationals including those from EU nations can enter the UAE without needing a visa, South African citizens will have to obtain a visa before arriving in the country. There are lots of hotels in Dubai catering for every budget so you're sure to find somewhere that you like.
