Cochin International Airport has two passenger terminals in addition to a third terminal that is planned to be operational in 2018. The T1 terminal is dedicated to international flights, whilst the T2 terminal is a domestic terminal for flights within India. The new T3 will replace T1 as the base for international flights, while T1 is intended to replace T2 as the domestic terminal. There are plans to make T2 the center of executive and luxury flights once it is replaced by T1 as the primary domestic terminal at the airport.

The airport offers many different amenities and facilities for passengers including an extensive duty free shopping area in the Canopy area of the airport. The Canopy is also home to a broad selection of eateries and cafés, while the Earth Lounge in both terminals is the ideal place to relax in comfort and provides facilities including complementary beverages and showers. Passengers needing to get to and from Cochin International Airport can either take a pre-paid taxi which can be arranged at taxi counters in either terminal or hop on one of the many local buses in the area.
