Looking for the best places to shop at the Dubai Shopping Festival? Here’s a round-up of the city’s best malls and markets including:
- The Dubai Mall
- Mall of the Emirates
- Ibn Battuta Mall
- Dubai Outlet Mall
- Dubai Gold Souk
The Dubai Mall
This is the city’s mega mall and the best place to shop in Dubai if you’re looking for designer and high-end goods. Its Fashion Avenue is home to the likes of Alexander McQueen, Faberge, Valentino, Chanel, Tiffany and Burberry, to name just a few. But don’t fret if your budget doesn’t stretch to these names (even after the Dubai Shopping Festival discounts), there’s also plenty of high-street stores including Zara, Sephora, H&M, Banana Republic and Gap. To mark Dubai Shopping Festival 2019, the mall will be putting on a special Street Festival with buskers and other performers.

Ibn Battuta Mall
This is one of the best places to shop at the Dubai Shopping Festival if you want a mall that breaks the mould of traditional shopping centers! Ibn Battuta Mall is one of the city’s older malls and is themed according to geographical areas including Egypt and Asia. Its anchor stores include Marks & Spencer, Jashanmal, Carrefour and Damas. As with most other shopping malls, stores will be keen to entice shoppers in with various discounts for the duration of the Dubai Shopping Festival.

Mall of the Emirates
While it’s possibly most famous for its ski slope, Mall of the Emirates is one of the busiest and best places to go during Dubai’s annual shopping festival. One of its biggest draws is the daily cash and cashback prizes which pull in huge numbers of people every year. Some of the most popular shops in Mall of the Emirates include Harvey Nichols, Centrepoint, Sharaf DG, Jumbo, and lots of high-end designers. As in most malls during Dubai Shopping Festival, you often find prices cut by more than 50 per cent here.

If you don’t enjoy the traditional mall setting, head to Boxpark Dubai. It has far fewer shops than the likes of Mall of the Emirates or Dubai Mall but its outdoor setting – built with old shipping containers – can make it a much nicer place to be during the winter months. It has some of the city’s best concept shops including the House of Prose bookstore, Typo stationary store, Toms, and Poupette a la Plage. There’s also loads of great places to eat to keep you fueled for the Dubai Shopping Festival extravaganza!
Address: Al Wasl Road, Jumeirah 1, Dubai
Dubai Gold Souk
Gold is one of the best things to buy during the Dubai Shopping Festival because it’s unlikely to ever lose its value and is even cheaper during the festival. And the best place to buy it? The Dubai Gold souk in old Dubai. It’s a traditional souk with dozens of gold stores ranging from tiny independent stores to much larger chain stores. Wander down the smaller alleys to see everything it has to offer, and check out the electronic boards at every entrance for the daily gold price.

Dubai Outlet Mall
If it’s bargains you’re after (aside from the usual Dubai Shopping Festival deals), head to the Dubai Outlet Mall. It’s billed as the first “value concept mall in the Middle East” with over 12,000 stores inside. There are outlet versions of most high-street and designer stores including DKNY, Tommy Hilfiger, Levis, Adidas, Nike, Lifestyle and Daiso.
