Cheap hostels and hotels in Paris
Best Western Premier 61 Paris Nation Hotel
If there’s one thing that’s good to find in a cheap Paris hotel, it’s staff who know the area like the back of their hand! The staff at this 12 Arrondissement hotel can tell you how to get the best tickets to shows at the nearby Théâtre de la Cartoucherie and Opéra Bastille, as well as where the best coffee and pastries can be found. The owners of the hotel chose a 1960s vibe so you’ll find lots of bright color blocking and veneer. It will brighten your mood in even the gloomiest of Paris weather!

Oops! Hostel
This hostel in Paris’ Latin Quarter calls itself the city’s first design hotel and doesn’t hold back on the decor to prove it! Travel to your shared dorm or private double room in a bright pink elevator, then walk along the corridors with multi-colored walls. It comes with more extras than hostels of days gone by, including private balconies in some of the rooms, hair-dryers in bathrooms, extra-large storage lockers and tasty free breakfasts. The Latin Quarter is a lively part of the city and home to the famous Le Piano Vache, which dates back to the 1960s but is still incredibly popular.

Mid-range and boutique hotels in Paris
Hotel Hor Paris
Affordable hotels in Paris can be hit and miss, but the Hotel Hor ticks lots of boxes. You can choose a deluxe room with a private balcony, or a cheaper, standard room which is just as nicely done up as the pricier options. The best thing is the hotel is near Gard du Nord, the central train station in Paris, so you won’t have to cart your suitcases round the city once you’ve arrived. There’s a business corner here too, with computers and English and French newspapers, a good spot to Skype your friends and family at home.
Address: Rue la Fayette 160, Paris, 75010, FranceRooms: From around Dh745* for a double room

Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain
The exposed beams and stone walls are a clue to the age of the building that the Hotel Odeon Saint-Germain now occupies. It was built in the 16th Century and much of its historical features have been expertly and beautifully incorporated into the modern decor. The bathrooms are stocked with L’Occitane toiletries and antique chests double up as tables. The Saint Germain des Pres district is crammed with bookstores, design shops and bookstores.
Address: 13, Rue Saint-Sulpice, Paris, 75006, FranceRooms: From around Dh706* per night

Holiday Inn Paris Notre Dame
This Holiday Inn is one of our favorite mid-range hotels in Paris – it’s just next to the stunning gothic Notre-Dame Cathedral, and the Jardin du Luxembourg, Pompidou Centre, Musée d’Orsay and the Louvre are nearby. And if you’re looking for a Parisian hotel that’d be happy to accommodate your kids, this Holiday Inn is it. Children stay and eat for free, and there’s a stack of board games in reception. It’s not a 5-star hotel, but it certainly competes on some levels – it has 24-hour room service, a pillow menu, and a lovely rooftop terrace that makes the perfect setting for a sundowner.
Address: 4 Rue Danton, Paris, 75006, FranceRooms: From around Dh835* per night

Relais Saint Jacques
Set in the charming and historic district of St Germain is this small boutique hotel where each of the 22 rooms has been individually designed. The 1870s building is decorated with antique furniture and bespoke wallpaper, but there’s all the usual modern amenities in the rooms, including spa baths (in the deluxe rooms) and coffee machines. If you have a choice, ask for a room with a view of the Panthéon.
Address: 3 Rue de L’Abbe de L’Epee, Paris, 75005, FranceRooms: From around Dh608* per night

Luxury hotels in Paris
Ritz Paris
After having some serious money spent on it, the Ritz Paris is looking better than ever. As part of the multi-million pound renovation more windows were put in the glamorous lobby making it feel even more airy and spacious, as well as showing off the views of the Place Vendome. If you like minimalism, you won’t like the Ritz Paris! The rooms are full of antique ornaments and furniture, and there are golden chandeliers hanging from the ceilings in the bathrooms (which also have swan-shaped taps, ahem). It’s not cheap but if you’re looking for a hotel in Paris to celebrate a (very, very, very) special occasion or just to be spoiled rotten, then you won’t be disappointed.
Address: 15 Place Vendome, Paris, 75001, FranceRooms: From around Dh4,614* per night
Paris Marriott Champs Elysees Hotel
If you’re looking for a hotel in Paris that’s in the heart of things, choose the Paris Marriott Champs Elysees, which as its name suggests, is on the Avenue des Champs Elysees! It’s more modest than the Ritz Paris and this is reflected in the price tag. The rooms are a fair size though and some come with private terraces with views of the city, but there’s none of the pomp and circumstance that comes with some of the other luxury hotels. Instead you’re pretty much paying for the location. Aside from the shops on the Avenue there’s the nearby Arc de Triomphe, which is especially handsome at night, and The Petit Palais, an impressive art museum in a stunning setting.
Address: 70 Avenue des Champs-Elysees, Paris, 75008, FranceRooms: From around Dh2,345* per night

Disney’s Hotel New York
This 4 star resort is one the favorite Disneyland Paris hotels, and just a few minutes’ shuttle ride or 10 minute walk away from the park. The rooms are decorated in a 1930s style and there are 13 room types to choose from, ranging from the most basic standard room to Vanderbuilt Suite with its grand piano, whirlpool bath and kitchen. It’s (unsurprisingly) a very child-friendly hotel with a kids’ playing area, video game room, skating rink, Mickey Mouse bedspreads and tennis courts.
Address: Avenue Goscinny, Chessy, 77777, FranceRooms: From around Dh2,918*
