Phuket Airport, also known as Phuket International Airport, is situated 32 km from the center of Phuket City and ranks as the third busiest airport in Thailand serving over 16 million passengers each year. The airport handles a wide selection of flights including direct flights from the UAE.
Terminals at Phuket Airport
Phuket Airport has two passenger terminals providing domestic and international flights. Terminal 1 is dedicated to international flights, whilst Terminal 2 is used to provide domestic flights. The airport has recently benefited from an extensive renovation project which has increased its capacity to up to 12.5 million passengers annually.
In addition to the two passenger terminals, the airport also has a separate terminal available dedicated to charter flights. Terminals 1 and 2 are within close travelling distance from one another for those needing to transfer between terminals.

Phuket Airport provides all of the facilities and amenities passengers would need including dining choices, shopping opportunities and free Wi-Fi. There are a few places to eat and drink including a restaurant on the third level as well as numerous cafés and snack bars throughout the airport.
There are ample shops available to travelers at Phuket Airport including multiple duty-free stores for those looking to pick up some last-minute goods and souvenirs. In addition to this, there are a number of convenience stores open providing basic travel essentials.
Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to contact the information counter at the airport to ensure your needs are met. The airport is equipped to provide accessibility for disabled passengers including disabled toilets, parking and elevators. Phuket Airport Travel Information
There are a number of way to get to and from Phuket Airport including public and airport buses. The dedicated airport buses leave the airport each hour and travel to Phuket bus terminal, whilst there are also other minibus services going to various destinations including central Phuket and Patong Beach.
Metered taxis are available just outside of the airport terminal exit, with the journey time into Phuket Town taking around 30 minutes. As an alternative to taxis, it is also possible to arrange a private limousine or minibus to take you where you need to go.
Many of the hotels in Phuket operate complimentary shuttle services to and from the airport, so it is advisable to check with your airline prior to landing. A number of leading car rental companies are available at Phuket airport for those requiring their own vehicle. Parking is also available for vehicle owners.
