The administrative centre of the small autonomous region of the Aosta Valley, the town of Aosta is the gateway to mountains, with good connections by rail and road to the nearby Italian cities of both Milano and Torino. The views of the peaks of Gran Paradiso National Park that you get from the town centre here are tantalising, and most people move on soon after arriving, but even if you end up spending a night here en-route, Aosta has a pleasant old-world town centre with some lovely architecture and a good selection of restaurants, cafes and hotels to choose from.
A beautiful small city with cobbled streets and lovely shops, bars and restaurants. Steeped in history with many monuments, churches and historical buildings with amazing architecture. Art galleries in several parts of the town with museums. A very interesting old city to view.
town surrounded by beautiful mountains good for exiting mountain tripps, the inner City is a bit highprice, little outside the city is a good campsite
A really nice town, so many shops and the architecture of some of the buildings and the town's locations is just superb! Even down side streets you can find something that can really interest you!
