A wonderful cradle at the gateway to the Medina
A wonderful place, cozy and full of authentic atmosphere. A really splendid riad, embellished by friendly, attentive and always helpful staff. Since our arrival we have been welcomed with great hospitality, pampered by their traditional mint tea: a real treat.
The riad is located at the beginning of the medina, in an ideal position because it is convenient but far from the chaos, so quiet and relaxing overnight stay. In about 15 minutes walk you reach Jemaa El Fnaa Square, a very pleasant walk through the characteristic streets of the medina, among colors, scents and local life.
The room is cozy, furnished in perfect Moroccan style, with taste and balance, without excess or unnecessary splendor. Maybe a little cold, but it is equipped with an electric stove that you can turn on. Breakfast is exceptional and is served every morning in the riad's beautiful garden, a very special time to start the day.
An absolutely recommended choice for those who want to experience the true Moroccan atmosphere, authentic and without artifice catchers.

My experience was poor
I stayed from 21 January to 24 January 2026the photos posted on the site of the rooms are not true they are very cold the air conditioner did not work well they gave us a stove to heat the room the bathrooms urgently need a renovation taps all full of limestone sink and shower full of cracks there was only a little hand soap on the sink in the shower nothing the hairdryer did not work well the towels all worn out exchanged with stains and with holes sewn up the cleaning of the room discreet better not lift the carpets from the floor cupboards that smelled of moisture and full of mold we left clothes in suitcases the terrace that show in photos where you can have breakfast has the floor all broken with the
Danger of stumbling at night you do not sleep well because of the continuous noise of the flowing water of the fountain that is in the center of the entrance of the Riad we also asked if it could close during the night they answered us that they turned on the water in the morning but it is absolutely not true because for 3 nights in a row I looked on the cel the time and it was 5 am breakfast was included in the price (just 4 glasses of orange juice 2 x me and 2 x the other couple who was on vacation with me) I asked for a glass of extra juice I was charged 1.50 be careful on the tourist taxes the cost is 2.50/3 euros per person per day they asked us for the tourist tax greater than what we had to pay then when we did the math and we said that they had asked for extra money they returned the difference do not let us book a taxi to the airport when you leave because they ask you double what you paid on the way

Very Overpriced and Poor Condition
would strongly advise others to read the reviews before booking this property, as our experience was extremely disappointing.
The place is very overpriced for what you actually get. The condition of the bathroom was unacceptable – there were cracks, limescale buildup, and issues with the taps. On top of that, we had problems with both hot and cold water, and the air conditioning was not working properly.
The property looks nothing like the pictures shown online, which was very misleading.
We were also surprised to be charged extra for hot drinks and water at the end of our stay, which we were not expecting.Adul should have mentioned before This added to the already high cost.
Overall, the experience felt poor value for money. We even had to go to an ATM at the last minute to pay the remaining balance to Adil , which was very inconvenient.
I would not recommend staying here

Nothing like it’s presented online
We were at this Riad from the 21st until the 24th of January of 2026. All the images and reviews that were on booking seemed very nice, however once we arrived and were given our rooms we found out that our rooms that had been booked were absolutely horrible and nothing like the images!!!!!
They presented all the rooms with a spacious room and bathroom but that was not the case!
The issue is not about the size of the room it is that they only show images of the suits online and not all the other rooms which is very misleading.
The host tried to ask for double the city tax! So make sure you check your booking with all the information on it!

Unforgettable & Incredible Riad
Riad Cannelle is truly a gem. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by how beautiful and calming the riad felt, an oasis of serenity tucked right in the middle of the busy souks. The location couldn’t be more central, yet once inside, the peaceful atmosphere makes you feel a world away.
Our room was spotless, tidy, and incredibly comfortable. Everything was thoughtfully prepared, and you can tell the team puts real care into maintaining the space.
A huge thank you to Adil, who was wonderfully welcoming, and to Badr, who went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. He gave us fantastic recommendations, made us feel completely safe, and was always there to help with anything we needed. Their hospitality truly made the experience special.
Honestly, I couldn’t fault Riad Cannelle. From the people to the service, the location to the tranquility, it was perfect. We can’t recommend it highly enough and would return in a heartbeat.
