Arriving In Bodrum
Milas-Bodrum Airport is the main airport serving Bodrum located around 35 km outside of the town. The airport recently opened up a new international terminal in 2012 and also has a dedicated domestic terminal. If you don’t want to pay for a taxi when you have landed there are buses available which can take you into Bodrum in around 45 minutes. Inside the airport you will find a decent range of amenities including a few dining and drinking options as well as duty-free shopping in the international terminal, while there are also a few retail shops available to browse through.
Milas-Bodrum Airport primarily handles flights to and from European destinations, most of which are on a seasonal basis. Those looking to book flights from the UAE to Bodrum will need to make a stopover as there are no direct flights available. However, the airport has regular connections to a number of leading airports around Europe such as Amsterdam and Frankfurt, so it is possible to make the trip with just one stopover all year round.

UAE nationals looking to travel to Turkey will be able to apply online for an e-visa before making the trip which is valid for up to 90 days. Bodrum enjoy some of the best weather in Turkey with average highs of around 34 degrees during the height of summer, while temperatures remain relatively mild even over winter with an increase in rainfall. There are a few car rental agencies at Bodrum airport, so you can easily rent your own car once you have landed.
