Getting to Cairo International Airport is possible by public transport if you don’t want to drive yourself or take a taxi. There are public buses available from Cairo which can take you to the airport as well as shuttle buses. The airport itself is large and offers a wide selection of amenities and facilities to keep travelers happy. Alongside many different cafés, restaurants and fast food outlets, you can find extensive retail and duty-free shopping to help pass the time. As an Egyptian national traveling to the UAE, you will have to make a visa application in advance of your journey. However, plenty of other nationals are entitled to enter the UAE on a visa free basis including GCC nationals and most EU citizens. Although Cairo itself is very hot over the summer, you can expect the climate in the UAE to be even hotter with average highs exceeding 40 degrees. Remember to put your clocks forward by two hours in order to get on local time in the UAE, while the currency you will need is the United Arab Emirates dirham.
