Arriving In Togo

Lome-Tokoin International Airport is located just outside of Lome and is the main international entry point into the country. While the airport primarily handles regional flights, there are a few long-haul routes available. If you are looking to catch flights from the UAE to Togo you will not be able to make the journey directly as there are no airlines offering direct flights. However, the airport has plenty of connections which enables UAE-based travelers to fly to Togo with only a single stopover in between.

During your time at the airport you will find a limited selection of amenities including a couple of places to eat, drink and shop, although be sure to bring everything essential you need with you in order to avoid disappointment. The airport also offers travelers free Wi-Fi so you can get online free of charge. When you have arrived at the airport, the easiest way to get to your destination hassle-free is to hop in a taxi just outside of the terminal.

Most nationals including those from the UAE will be able to obtain a visa upon arrival in Togo which is only valid for up to seven days, although you can apply for an extension which would increase your length of stay to 90 days. In Togo temperatures remain warm all year round, with the hottest period falling between November and April which sees average highs of 33 degrees. If you would rather visit when rainfall is at a minimum then sometime between November and February would be ideal.
