Everyone entering into the country is granted visa-free access for a period of 30 days which can be extended to 90 days if necessary. Getting around the islands of the Maldives can be achieved either by boat, sea plane or private yacht. The currency in the Maldives is the Rufiyah, although many resorts and shops are known to accept US dollars as payment.

When to Visit the Maldives

The busiest season in the Maldives is between December and March, while the monsoon season falls between May and October. The weather is at its best between November and April when rainfall is lower and temperatures are pleasantly warm. A number of airlines provide cheap flights to Maldives all year round.
