Where to Stay in Orlando
As home to more than a dozen larger-than-life theme parks, the Florida city of Orlando is one of the most popular places in the US for both domestic and international travelers.
Orlando’s popularity means the city has an abundance of hotels to cater for every type of visitor. While many of the resorts have their own hotels on-site, a popular place to stay is the famous International Drive – also known as I-Drive – which is a buzzing thoroughfare dotted with hotels of every standard.
I-Drive also has its own I-Trolley service, a public transport initiative that will take you up and down the length of the International Drive Resort Area without the worry of parking. Should you wish to have your own vehicle to explore the area and visit the theme parks, car rental in Orlando is a popular option.
Downtown Orlando Hotels
The downtown area of the city is the soul of central Florida and is bursting with restaurants, hotels, shopping and entertainment yet still within easy driving distance of the theme parks.
Located across from Orlando’s City Hall in the arts district and within walking distances from bars and restaurants, this luxury hotel features boutique rooms with free Wi-Fi and elegant marble bathrooms.
A mid-range hotel, the Eo Inn - Downtown is located just minutes from Lake Eola Park and offers free self-parking onsite.
This budget property is an attractive hotel that is an ideal base for sightseeing with the attractions of Downtown Orlando and the extravagance of the theme parks just minutes away.
International Drive Hotels
International Drive is a 18 km long commercial area close to Orlando’s theme parks, premium outlet malls and a portfolio of restaurants covering every taste. Most hotels on the strip will provide shuttle services to and from the parks.
The Hyatt Regency is a luxury hotel choice on the famous strip and is within minutes of the theme parks and a short walk to shopping and dining outlets. The hotel’s fitness center, spa and pool bar all add to the charms of this four-star hotel.
Also a four-star hotel, the Wyndham is a less expensive option in an idyllic tropical setting with two heated swimming pools and complimentary shuttle services to and from the Universal Studios and Sea World theme parks.
The Clarion Inn is a non-smoking budget choice hotel located at the quiet end of International Drive offering elegant rooms, a whirlpool and a swimming pool all within easy reach of the many theme parks.

I went here with my family in the summer. While we did mostly family activities like Disney World and the aquarium, I still had a lot of fun even though I am older. The city was surprisingly quiet and the house we rented was inexpen
