The main airport serving the city of Madinah is Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, Saudi Arabia’s fourth busiest airport serving over 6 million passengers annually. Travelers looking to fly from Dubai to Madinah are able to catch flights with Emirates, Flydubai, Flynas and Saudia. Currently all flights to Madinah depart out of Dubai International Airport (DXB), not to be confused with Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC).

Airport Information - Arriving
Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport is the primary international gateway into Madinah situated 20km (12 miles) from the center of the city. You will find all of the amenities and services you would need at the airport including a selection of shops and various places to enjoy something to eat. You can also stay connected to the internet whilst at the airport with free Wi-Fi available for up to 30 minutes. Once you have landed at the airport the most reliable way to reach your destination is by taxi, although there are shuttle buses available running into the center of Madinah.
Airport Information - Departing
Dubai International Airport is the main airport in Dubai and the world’s busiest airport in terms of international passenger traffic. If you don’t want to take a taxi then the quickest way to reach the airport is to hop on the Dubai Metro which can take you to Terminal 1 and Terminal 3, while those departing from Terminal 2 can use the free shuttle bus provided. You can look forward to a huge array of amenities and services at the airport including extensive duty-free shopping, numerous high-end shops and a wide variety of restaurants and cafes. If you would prefer to wait for your flight in luxury then you may want to visit one of the world-class airport lounges, many of which allow passengers to enter for a fee on the door.
What to Expect in Madinah
In Madinah the weather is hot on a similar level to Dubai so be prepared for the heat. UAE citizens and nationals from other GCC nations can enter Saudi Arabia without needing a visa, while all other visitors will first have to acquire a visa before traveling. Madinah is 1 hour behind Dubai so make sure you remember to wind back your clocks when you land.
