Dubai is a fantastic city at any time day but especially at night when there’s so much to do and see. Here’s our pick of the top things to do in Dubai at night whether you’re looking to spend time with the family or feel like embarking on an adventure…

Best things to do in Dubai at night…. for free

1. See the Dubai Fountains at the Burj Khalifa ⛲️

You can see the Dubai Fountain show at most times of day but at night it’s a sight to behold. You don’t need to spend any money to enjoy it, just take a stroll around the lake outside Dubai Mall and enjoy the free shows.

2. Watch the sunset on a public beach

There are plenty of great public beaches in Dubai which are perfect for a sundowner picnic and drink. Just make sure you clean up after yourselves and don’t be a noise nuisance!

You might not have the budget for the likes of Dubai Mall’s Tiffany, Alexander McQueen, Jimmy Choo or Chanel, but there’s no harm in window shopping is there?! The Dubai Mall opening hours are from 10 am through midnight.

4. Go camping

This is one of the best things you can do at night in Dubai and it doesn’t need to cost a dirham if you have the right gear. Fortunately, if you choose a good time of year you don’t need much equipment – a tent, sleeping bag and firewood are enough (as well as some good bbq food of course!)

Best things to do at night…. for adventurers

1. Catch a concert at MusicHall Dubai

Dubai’s MusicHall is a sort of theater and club hybrid, with a great line up throughout the year. You’ll get to see some wonderful entertainment while enjoying a fantastic menu at your private table.

2. Take the BigBus Dubai Night Tour

This is the best – and easiest – way to see the major landmarks of Dubai at night. It’s not a hop-on/hop-off bus tour like the daytime trips, but it’s a brilliant way to see all of Dubai’s most famous sights all lit up. You can pre-book here.

3. Take a night photography workshop with Gulf Photo Plus 📸

This course is a brilliant course for anyone with a passion for photography. You’ll learn all about the techniques needed for shooting in the dark including shutter speeds and light trails.

4. Book a full moon yoga class at Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah

Why take a yoga class in a sweaty studio when you could be doing it under the stars?! Prices cost from around AED95 per person, check the hotel’s website for updates.

Best things to do at night…. for foodies

1. Catch a movie while enjoying a menu by a Michelin-starred chef at Theatre by Rhodes

This concept is unlike any ‘dinner and a movie’ you’re likely to have experienced! You can enjoy a meal from a menu created by Gary Rhodes while sitting at reclining seats with cushions and blankets, as well as in-cinema waiter service with your own call button at your seat.

2. Sample the famous Ravi’s restaurant

Ravi’s Pakistani restaurant in Satwa, Dubai, is something of an institution. Unlike most of the city’s other top restaurants, there are no silver spoons or five-star service. Instead, ask the waiters what’s best and trust in their recommendations. You won’t be disappointed.

3. Dine in the dark at Noire

Sit down at Noire and be prepared for a 1.5 hour experience of dining in the dark (the waiters wear night-vision goggles, don’t panic) which is designed to enhance your senses and give you a meal like you’ve never had before. Booking is required.

4. Eat fish at the Bu Qtair fish shack in Jumeirah

This is another institution in Dubai and one of the best things to do at night if you enjoy good food. It started life in Jumeirah as a small fish shack and hasn’t strayed very far from its roots. There’s usually only a couple of choices of fish – spicy or non-spicy – but it gets very, very busy which is a testament to the cooking. You’ll find it at Old 32B Street, Umm Suqeim 2.
