Why You Should Visit Graz
Graz is Austria’s second largest city named as the European Capital of Culture in 2003 in honor of its beautiful architecture, plentiful heritage sites and unique charm. One of the first places that you should visit in the city is the Old Town which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - here the majority of the city’s finest heritage sites can be found including the unique Schlossberg hilltop fortress and the stunning Opernhaus opera house. Modern visitors will also find plenty to do in the city as it is well known for its lively nightlife scene - many of the best bars are located in the old town, although you may consider venturing to the east of the city in the student area.
