Arriving In Austria
Vienna International Airport is the busiest airport serving Austria located less than 20 km away from the center of Vienna. The airport is made up of four passenger terminals and offers a huge range of services and amenities to keep travelers happy whether its restaurants, cafés and eateries or duty-free and designer shopping you are after. When you have touched down at the airport there are a number of ways to journey into the city including by Railjet train or on the S-Bahn network if you don’t want to pay for a taxi.
If you are looking to catch flights from the UAE to Austria, it is possible to fly directly to Vienna out of Dubai. Currently Emirates is the only carrier providing direct flights to Vienna, with all flights leaving from Dubai International Airport. As a UAE national looking to travel to Austria, you will be able to enter the country for up to 90 days visa free as the country is a part of the Schengen Area. Be advised that it can get pretty cold in Austria over the winter period with plenty of snowfall, although over the summer you can expect average highs in the mid-20Cs between July and August.
