Ilulissat Airport is located less than 3 km from the center of Ilulissat and handles a range of domestic and regional flights. Travelers looking to book flights from the UAE to Ilulissat will not be able to make the journey directly, so you will need to make a stopover somewhere before continuing your journey in order to reach Ilulissat.
Ilulissat Airport is a fairly small airport that offers little in terms of facilities and amenities, although there are plans underway to expand the airport and boost its capacity and amenities. When your flight has arrived at the airport, you are only a short distance away from the center of Ilulissat and a taxi ride is both brief and affordable.

Despite the fact that Greenland is a part of Denmark which is within the Schengen Area, the Schengen visa rules do not apply for Greenland so you will need to make alternative arrangements. In Ilulissat you can expect cold temperatures for most of the year and very mild summers, with average highs rarely exceeding 10 degrees during July and August.
