Arriving In Kos
Kos International Airport is a single passenger terminal primarily handling seasonal flights from European destinations. Inside the airport you can find all of the essential amenities and facilities you would need. Amenities available include a couple of cafés and eateries, duty-free shopping and free Wi-Fi, so there is plenty to do to pass the time while you wait for your flight. Although there are taxis available if you want to get to your destination directly, you can find buses if you are on a budget and need to save some money.
If you are looking to catch flights from the UAE to Kos you will need to make a stopover as there are no direct flights provided by any carriers. Although the majority of flights handled at the airport are on a seasonal basis, there are regular connections from Athens International Airport and Moscow, enabling UAE-based travelers to make the journey with only a single transfer. As Greece is a part of the Schengen Area, UAE nationals don’t need to worry about applying for a visa as you will be able to enter the country for a period of up to 90 days visa free. In Kos you can expect warm weather over the summer with average highs of around 30 degrees between July and August, while the weather remains relatively mild over the winter period. At the airport there are a few car-rental companies available, so it is convenient to rent your own car as soon as you have arrived.
