Where to Stay in Jaipur

Visitors to the stunning Pink City of Jaipur are never short of things to see or do when staying in the capital of Rajasthan.

Steeped in history, the city is home to a canvas of cultural delights including palaces and forts, where maharajas once reigned, and the romance and charm of the bustling bazaars.

Known as the Pink City because of the colour of the stone used in the walled city, Jaipur has a wealth of attractions although these are spread across the city. However, they are all within easy reach thanks to a variety of transport options including the buses of Rajasthan State Roadways, taxis and cabs, auto-rickshaw and cycle-rickshaw. Renting a car in Jaipur is also an option if you are planning to explore more of the country.

Jaipur City Center Hotels

The city is busy with international and local hotels to suit every taste and budget. Visiting between October and March will guarantee the best weather, while a stay in a city hotel will put visitors at the heart of the royal city and within easy reach of sites such as the City Palace Jaipur, the Amber Fort and the Hawa Mahal.

1. Rambagh Palace

A luxury five-star choice just a short drive from the Pink City, the Rambagh Palace is converted from the Maharaja of Jaipur's palace and as such offers a unique choice of accommodation - opulent in design and layout – with both indoor and outdoor swimming pools and excellent fitness facilities.

2. Hotel Heritage Heights

Located 10km from Jaipur International Airport and 7km from the railway station, the mid-range Hotel Heritage Heights is an ideal location for exploring the area with sites such as the Hawa Mahal (2km), City Palace (4km), Amer Fort (10km), and Nahargarh Fort (16km) all within a short distance of the doorstep.

3. Hotel New Center Point

Located just 1km from Jaipur's railway station and 12km from Jaipur International Airport, the New Center Point is a budget choice of accommodation only 3km from the City Palace, while the city's other great monuments are all within easy reach. The hotel offers guests relaxation in the form of a swimming pool and a fitness center.

One of the most beautiful hotels during my stay in jaipur. The interior design of the rooms reflects a great combination of classic style with an indian touch.

Without a shadow of a doubt, add Jaipur to your list. It's one of the most beautiful cities in India. The heat can be oppressive though,

The pink city is a must -- part of the Golden Triangle with Delhi and Agra. Great shopping, and be sure to stop in at the Amer Fort and if you're feeling brave, the nearby monkey temple.
