The airport is home to three passenger terminals - Terminal 3 is the home of all Emirates flights so this will be where you arrive from Newcastle. Newcastle International Airport is Newcastle’s primary airport located less than 10km from the center of the city. The airport offers a varied selection of places to eat and drink whether it’s somewhere to sit down with a meal or enjoy a quick coffee or a snack. You can also explore some of the airport’s shops while you wait for your flight offering everything from duty-free goods to retail and designer names. There are many ways that you can reach the airport from the center of Newcastle including by bus or on the Tyne and Wear metro network so you don’t have to rely on taxis.
What to Expect in Dubai
In Dubai you can expect the weather to be a lot hotter than Newcastle all year round, so if you would prefer to avoid the heat then visiting sometime between November and February would be best. While some EU citizens are entitled to enter Dubai on a visa-free basis, UK and Irish citizens holding a full passport can get a visit visa for the UAE (at no cost) on arrival in Dubai. This is valid for 30 days. Once you are in Dubai you can get around the city using the Dubai Metro, although those who would prefer their own vehicle can find many leading car rental agencies at the airport.
