Sixty Dome Mosque
This UNESCO World Heritage Site is an impressive Muslim monument that dates back to the Sultanate period. Many visitors to Dhaka make the journey south to visit the largest multi-domed mosque in Bangladesh, called Shat Gombuj Moshjid in Bengali.
St Martin’s Island
The only coral island in Bangladesh, travel to St Martin’s Island from Dhaka and you will find pristine beaches fringed with coconut palms. The idyllic surroundings are an ideal place for a relaxing day trip from Dhaka. You can walk around St Martin’s in a day, interact with the laid-back locals and watch the fisherman land their catch at the market. November to February is the main tourist season and the best weather.

Things to do in Dhaka: Lalbagh Fort
The distinctive and beautiful Mughal architecture of Lalbagh Fort makes this a top attraction in Dhaka city. The incomplete 17th century complex stands on the Buriganga river in the southwest of Dhaka. The central area of the fort consists of three buildings including the tomb of Bibi Pari, the daughter of Emperor Shaista Khan.
Ahsan Manzil
The palace of Ahsan Manzil in Dhaka is a national museum site. The impressive pink structure was built by a wealthy landowner from the Nawab family in 1872. Tourists can visit the period rooms and view the collection of regional paintings. There is a ballroom, drawing room, grand dining hall and some residential rooms to view. Add this to your list of things to do when you fly to Dhaka.

Things to do in Dhaka: Star Mosque
This amazing structure, popularly called Tara Masjid, is an exquisite white marble mosque, decorated with engraved floral and star patterns. It was built by Mughal landlord, named Mirza Gulam Pir, in 1711. It can be found in the Armanitola area of Dhaka.

Bangladesh National Museum
One of the largest museums in South Asia, Bangladesh National Museum is devoted to archaeology, natural history and art. Collections include sculptures, ancient artifacts and armour from the Indian subcontinent. Important Bangladesh contemporary artists have pieces displayed within the museum.

Flights to Dhaka land at Shahjalal International Airport, the largest airport in Bangladesh. There are a number of airlines offering direct flights from the UAE to Dhaka. There are four airlines that offer flights from Dubai International Airport – Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Emirates and flydubai, while visitors from Abu Dhabi International Airport can travel with Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Etihad Airways and Rotana Jet. Air Arabia offer flights from Ras al Khaimah Airport and Sharjah Airport to Dhaka.
