Reasons To Visit Al Ain

Known as the “Garden City of the Gulf”, Al Ain is famed for its stunning parks, gardens and oases which has made it a popular travel destination. There are many fantastic places to visit in Al Ain such as the Jebel Hafeet mountain, the second largest in the UAE and an excellent place for hiking. You will also want to experience the incredible beauty of the large Al Ain Oasis which is located centrally in the city. There are also a few other fun attractions perfect for all the family such as the zoo and safari park, or you can indulge your wild side with some whitewater rafting, surfing or kayaking. Another top attraction in Al Ain is the Al-Khrair Animal Souq which offers hundreds of animals, or you can visit the Al Ain Museum and Fort which explores the interesting heritage of Al Ain.

Arriving In Al Ain

Al Ain International Airport is situated around 15 km outside of Al Ain and currently provides just three services to and from Cairo, Peshawar and Calicut. If you are looking to book flights from elsewhere in the UAE to Al Ain you will not be able to do so as no airlines offer flights. The airport has excellent transport links to the center of Al Ain and the wider UAE area which makes it easier to reach Al Ain. As well as buses running into Al Ain and taxis outside the terminal, you can find coach services which can take you to Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Alternatively, you could consider renting a car in Al Ain.

Al Ain International Airport is set within a single passenger terminal and offers all of the amenities and facilities you would need, although don’t expect a broad range of choices as the airport is rather small. However, there are a couple of cafés and eateries available for hungry travelers, while you can also do a bit of duty-free shopping or pick up some travel basics at some of the miscellaneous stores available. In addition to this, other facilities available at the airport include an outdoor picnic area, banking services and a currency exchange.
