Changsha Huanghua International Airport is one of the busier airports in China located roughly 25 km from the center of Changsha. Currently comprised of two passenger terminals, plans are underway to expand the airport significantly in the near future. The airport handles a wide range of domestic and international flights, although currently there are no direct flights from the UAE to Changsha available. However, given the airport’s extensive connections in the region, UAE-based travelers can easily get to Changsha with just a single transfer.

Travelers at Changsha Huanghua International Airport will be able to enjoy an extensive range of facilities and services. There are many different dining choices located around the airport, where you can also find retail and duty-free shopping available. There are plenty of additional amenities available including an on-site spa, children’s play areas and a few airport lounges. When you have arrived at the airport there are bus and train services available to get to your destination, although you may prefer to hop in a metered taxi instead.

In Changsha the weather can get hot over the summer with average highs exceeding 30 degrees from June until August. There is a period of increased rainfall from March until June, while the coolest time of year is from December until February when it can get quite chilly. You will need to put your clocks forward by four hours to get on local time in Changsha, while the price of basics like travel and accommodation will be a little bit cheaper compared to the UAE.
