Curacao is situated in the Caribbean just off the coast of Venezuela and offers plenty of fascinating things to see and do. Arriving In Curacao

Curacao International Airport, also known as Hato International Airport, is the primary international airport serving Curacao situated around 10 km from the capital Willemstad. If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Curacao, it is not possible to travel directly. However, Curacao International Airport has plenty of connections so UAE-based travelers can get to the country with only a single transfer.

At the airport you will find a decent range of amenities and facilities to suit your needs. There are a number of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy a drink or a meal, while the airport also provides duty-free and retail shopping. In addition to this, you can connect to the airport’s free Wi-Fi network to surf the web or wait for your flights in the luxurious VIP lounge. When you have arrived in the country there are buses available into the capital Willemstad as well as taxis just outside of the terminal building which can take you to your destination directly. Alternatively, you could consider a rental car on Curacao if you want to explore the island at your leisure.

Curacao Travel Information

Many nationals including those from the UAE are able to travel to Curacao on a visa free basis for up to 90 days. In Curacao temperatures remain warm throughout the year, with the hottest time coming between May and October which sees average highs of 32 degrees. There is a brief period of increased rainfall from October until January, although you can expect plenty of sunshine all year round. In Curacao the currency used is the Netherlands Antillean guilder, although you will find that US dollars are often accepted in the country.
