Why You Should Visit Dubrovnik
Best known for its stunning walled city along the Adriatic Sea, Dubrovnik offers much more than just ancient heritage sites with its many festivals, vibrant nightlife and beautiful beaches stretching along the coast. Any visit to Dubrovnik would not be complete without seeing its iconic Old Town which in itself boasts many unique landmarks like the Sponza Palace and the famous Bell Tower. Dubrovnik is also known for its 45 day-long Dubrovnik Summer Festival held through July and August where visitors can enjoy everything from classical music to theatrical performances. Be sure to take advantage of the city’s position on the coast by relaxing on a beach or enjoying some water-based activities like kayaking and sailing. There are also a few coastal walks available for those who like to stay fit, or you can take a trip up the cable car to enjoy fantastic panoramic views of the city below.

Arriving In Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik Airport is situated around 15 km from the center of Dubrovnik and consists of three passenger terminals. When you have arrived at the airport there are airport shuttle buses available which can take you into the city center, although you may prefer the convenience of a taxi to reach your destination directly. Inside the airport there are a few places to eat and drink available as well as duty-free shopping, so you can find plenty to do to keep yourself occupied.
Dubrovnik Airport primarily handles seasonal flights from around Europe and does not have any direct connections to the UAE, so travelers based in the UAE will need to make a transfer somewhere to complete the journey. The airport does handle regular flights from Istanbul and Frankfurt amongst others which would enable UAE travelers to make the journey with just one stopover all year round.
