The city has many important heritage sites and museums exploring its past such as the Davao Museum where you can gain an insight into centuries of history. The region is also famed for its natural beauty and offers many exciting outdoor activities with attractions such as crocodile parks and bird-watching spots available for those who like to get active. You can also find plenty of beaches around the area or you may consider taking on the challenge of a hike up Mt. Apo, the largest mountain in the country. If you fancy an excursion outside of the city then you can take a boat across to the beautiful Samal Island just off the coast which is known for its immaculate beaches.

Arriving in Davao

Francisco Bangoy International Airport is the primary airport serving Davao ranking as the third busiest in the country. The airport has recently opened up a brand-new terminal complex which handles both domestic and international flights and offers plenty of facilities and amenities. The most convenient way to travel into the city is to flag down a taxi just outside the airport, although if you walk to the nearby highway you can catch a jeepney which will be much cheaper. Renting a car in Davao is also an option.

If you are looking to travel from the UAE to Davao you will not be able to make the journey directly as no airlines provide direct flights from anywhere in the UAE.
